As-salaamun
Alaykum, welcome on board. I guess you’re a Muslim because what you’re about
to read is gonna change your life for the best.
It’s
a observation that only 1 out of 100 Muslims who read the Quran actually get motivation
from it. Well, this analysis might be wrong.
But
I’ve got something important to discuss… that matters.
I
spent quite a lot of time with my Muslim friends, and I came to know they read the Qur’an just for reading sake. And at the end of the day, it’s doesn’t
serve them the rightful purpose.
A
Muslim should know that getting motivation reading the Qur’an is very simple if
you understand what states your mind needs to be in order to be able to receive
that motivation from the Quran.
Allah
(swt) says:
“For, Believers are those who, when Allah is
mentioned, feel a tremor in their hearts, an when they His signs rehearsed,
find their faith strengthened, and put (all) their trust in their Lord…” (Quran
8:2)
From
our thorough investigation by the help of Muslimhowto.com team, I’ve been able
to put forward some basic steps that should help a Muslim to get motivation
from the Quran.
1.
Read the Quran Frequently
The thing is, to get
motivation reading the Quran, you’ve to frequently engage with it. You have to
ponder upon the Noble words of Allah. Make it part of your daily routine. With
time goes on you will definitely derive motivation from the Quran.
2.
Learn The Meaning of Words In The Quran
Give maximum concern to
learning the meanings of the Qur’an, even if it’s from a reciter who has a very
beautiful voice. The cause of why you do not feel motivated by the Quran may
be that you do not know its meanings. Get a translated Quran or download free
Quranic application that translates the Quran into varieties of language.
3.
Remember Allah Often
Always keep in mind that
Allah is worthy to be remembering and obey Him, not for His own good but ours. We
cannot ignore what He has done in our life.
Regular remembrance of Allah
softens the heart. When you do, you’ll have peace, tranquility and your life
will be stable. When you don’t, your life becomes unstable.
And our mind needs to be in a
stable condition for the words of Allah manifest.
4.
Seek Repentance from Allah
When one is deep in his
desire, he will surely go against the will of Allah. He/she will disobey His commands.
When you engage in sinful acts, your heart becomes hard and corrupt. So, when
one read the Quran it may not yield any significant in his/her life or get
motivation, unless he/she is fully ready, to leave the bad ways and embrace righteousness.
Seek forgiveness from Allah
from all sins, and stick to the orders of Allah. One may be punished for his
sins by being deprived of goodness, humility, and contemplation.
Don’t for once let your want
or desire turn you to disobey Him. What will you gain from disobeying Allah? Nothing,
but a fierce punishment on the Day of Judgment. So, what will you gain obeying
Allah (swt)? A far more one can imagine; a good life, everlasting happiness,
and surely He will be sufficient for you. And finally in His Book (Quran)
you’ll start getting motivation.
5.
Quit Listening To Music
Music is haram. Are you
hearing it for the first time? I’m so happy to break this to you. Or maybe you
know this already. Music can have a negative and positive impact. But in Islam,
it’s regarded as a force against a holistic state or well-being.
Music and the Quran can’t stay
in the same heart. It’s either one in or the other out. They can’t be in an
equilibrium state.
So, you have to quit music
to be able to achieve the motivational enrichment the Quran have to offer.
6.
Act Upon The Qur’an
Take on the Quran as guidance that light your path in life. Ponder and reflect upon the Quran.
Believe in the message of Allah, and follow all the commands He Has given in
His book.
