Benefits Of Reciting The Qur'an

The noble Qur'an was the last divine revelation sent down to humanity, a Muhammad (Peace and blessings be upon him) was the last Prophet sent to humanity. It is the book which both men and jinn are challenged to produce the like of even one of its shortest chapters but they have failed to do.

The most honourable branch of knowledge is that which leads to knowing Allaah (The Most High) and his Attributes. Hence, it is beneficial and compulsory to learn this, because the dignity of knowledge is a reflection of the dignity of one upon whom this knowledge focuses.

All the revealed scriptures agree on this. All the Messengers, from the first to Noah (peace be upon him) to the last, Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) had the very same mission and the first principle to which the Messengers invited their people.

Allaah The Most High says:

"The holy book (Qur'an) sent as a guidance for mankind and the distinction (between right and wrong).”

[Al-Qur’an 2:185]

"This is the Book (Holy Qur'an) about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allaah"

[Al-Qur'an 2:2]

"Then do they not reflect upon the Qur'an? Had it been from anyone other than Allaah, they would have certainly found therein many contradictions"

[Al-Qur’an 4:82]

"And with the truth We have sent the Qur'an down, and with the truth it has descended. And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a bringer of good tidings and a warner."

[Al-Qur'an 17:105]
