Watching porn or blue film is Haram in Islam. Allah
forbade this act. There are means which pornography has been propagated most
especially on the internet, magazine or live on the television.
A Muslim should detach him/herself from this habit, and
also be mindful of what type of movies they watch. Most western movies contain
lust, pornographic scenes, sexual activities which are against the teaching of
Islam.
Pornography is a devilish act that damages someone’s spirituality
with Allah (swt). Due to the easy accessibility of these materials, it has made
it easy for Muslim to fall victim of this act.
While some health practitioners may claim that watching
pornography boosts one’s happiness and relieve stress. Recent studies have
revealed that watching pornography can reduce your productiveness towards your
daily life activities.
Allah warned Muslim to be mindful of what they look out
and should lower their gaze and abide by this will be a benefit to them.
“Say
to the believing men that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty:
that will make for greater purity for them: And Allah is well acquainted with
all they do.” – Quran 24:30
If you indulge in these acts, ask for Allah’s forgiveness
surely Allah’s is oft-forgiving.
“And
those who, having done something to be ashamed of, or wronged their own souls,
earnestly bring Allah to mind, and ask for forgiveness for their sins,- and who
can forgive sins except Allah? – and are never obstinate in persisting
knowingly in (the wrong) they have done.” – Quran 3: 135
