Jesus: A Prophet and
a Servant of Allah
Â
In Matthew 19:16-17 –Â
Â
"And behold,Â
one came andÂ
said unto him,Â
'Good master, what goodÂ
thing shall IÂ
do that I may
have eternal life?' And he said unto him, 'Why callest thou meÂ
good? (There is)Â
none good butÂ
one, (i.e.) God, but ifÂ
thou wilt enterÂ
into life, keepÂ
the commandments.' "
Â
In the above verses we note this
acknowledgment of his submissiveness (to Allaah's Will).
Â
In Matthew 21:45-46 –Â
Â
"And when the
chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parable, they perceived that he spoke
of them. But when they soughtÂ
to lay handsÂ
on him, they  feared the multitude because they took him for
a Prophet."
Â
HereÂ
it is provedÂ
that all thoseÂ
who believed inÂ
Jesus during his life-time did not believe in him being God or the Son
of God or one in the doctrine of Trinity; but they believed in him
as being a Prophet only. This is indeed one of the strongest points of
evidence against those who believeÂ
in the Divinity of JesusÂ
(Incarnation of God) if
only they pondered.
Â
Jesus: A Servant of
Allaah
Â
Â
In Matthew 23:8 –Â
Â
'But be not yeÂ
called Rabbi: for one isÂ
your master, even Jesus, and all ye are brethren."
Â
HereÂ
it is clearlyÂ
proved that JesusÂ
was servant of Allaah,Â
and that thereÂ
is only OneÂ
Master and He is Allaah.Â
In the Arabic versionÂ
of the Bible thisÂ
verse has been translatedÂ
so that JesusÂ
is meant to be
the master whereas theÂ
English rendering isÂ
nearer the original sense.
Â
In Matthew 23:9 –Â
Â
"And call no man
your father upon the earth: for one is your Father which is in heaven."
Â
FromÂ
this you will noteÂ
that fatherhood and SonshipÂ
is meant to be the relationshipÂ
between the LordÂ
and His servants: it isÂ
meant in a general senseÂ
and not specifically for Jesus.
Â
In Matthew 24:36 –Â
Â
"But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the
angels of heaven, but my Father only."
Â
This is a definite proof that the
Final Hour is unknown to any but
Allaah, thus Jesus'Â
knowledge is imperfect like allÂ
other men; AllaahÂ
Alone is All-Knowing, Omniscient.
Â
In Matthew 26:39 –Â
Â
"And he (Jesus) wentÂ
a little farther, andÂ
fell on his face and prayed,Â
saying, 'O myÂ
Father, if it be possible, letÂ
this cup passÂ
from me:Â nevertheless not as I
will, but as Thou wilt.' "
Â
WeÂ
note here thatÂ
the person speakingÂ
is unaware of Allaah's Will and realizes the fact that
he is a servant of Allaah. He (Allaah) Alone can cause the change.
