Ali Banat was an Australian businessman, later a
humanitarian philanthropist, from the Sydney suburb of Greenacre and of Palestinian
descent.
He was a successful businessman who owned a security and electrical
company in Australia.
He was well-known for being ‘gifted with cancer’ after he
was diagnosed with cancer on October 2018 which he had few months to live.
The sickness inspired Ali Banat to start a charity named
MATW (Muslim Around The World).
His charity MATW achieved major success in his life and brought
much aid to the needy.
He helped build schools, housing, and orphanages for widows
and children in West Africa. His charity also established many local businesses
to help empower communities and promote local sustainability.
To this very day, MATW continues to grow. In the past
year, MATW built a new orphanage center that can house up to 1000 orphans. They
also built 30 mosques and have helped invite over 10,000 people to Islam - OnepathNetwork.
His Charity network MATW has also just began constructing
Ghana’s first-ever Islamic University. Ali has truly left a legacy.
Despite not alive, his story still inspires millions
around the world today.
